Beyond the Prize: How JUMP Used Néxito to Create Value for Every Entrepreneur

How JUMP turned its second investment competition into a broader learning experience — giving entrepreneurs practical support at scale while generating valuable insights for the team behind the program.

The Challenge: What Does Everyone Else Take Home?

JUMP is an investment competition designed to identify and support promising entrepreneurs.

After its first season, the team identified an important challenge. The winner walked away with an investment. But what about everyone else?

Hundreds of entrepreneurs had invested time, energy, and ambition in applying to the competition. JUMP wanted Season 2 to offer them something valuable in return — regardless of how far they progressed in the selection process.

The challenge was doing this at scale, without creating an unsustainable operational burden for the JUMP team. That is where Néxito came in.

Turning Participation into a Learning Opportunity

For JUMP Season 2, Néxito provided participants with access to a customized JUMP experience powered by the Néxito platform.

Entrepreneurs could follow a practical business preparation journey designed to help them better understand, structure, and present their businesses.

And they could do it when it worked for them.

No fixed classroom schedule. No need to coordinate hundreds of individual sessions.

The experience was available 24/7, allowing entrepreneurs to progress at their own pace and fit learning around the reality of running a business.

Participants came from very different industries — including agriculture, software, retail, logistics, tourism, and others — yet their feedback showed remarkably consistent needs.

They valued the quality of the experience, ease of use, practicality, and clarity of the journey.

But one piece of feedback stood out in particular:

The experience made them think about aspects of their businesses they had never considered before.

That is precisely what scalable entrepreneurial support should enable: not simply delivering information, but helping entrepreneurs ask better questions about their businesses.

Strong Engagement — and an Interesting Pattern

Usage throughout the competition provided another important insight.

Among the 200 entrepreneurs selected to advance in the competition, more than 60% had actively used Néxito and progressed through at least 70% of their learning journey. The pattern became even stronger among the finalists.

7 of the 10 finalists had used and completed their Néxito journey. And among the entrepreneurs who reached the podium:

All three had completed their journey.

This does not establish that using Néxito caused participants to advance further in the competition. But the correlation between engagement with the platform and progression through JUMP was notable.

It also reinforced something we strongly believe: entrepreneurs who actively engage with structured learning, reflection, and preparation are often the same entrepreneurs who take their businesses seriously enough to keep moving forward.

More Value for Entrepreneurs. More Intelligence for JUMP.

The value was not limited to participants.

For the JUMP team, Néxito created a way to extend knowledge and practical support to every entrepreneur who wanted it — without having to multiply workshops, mentors, or operational resources.

At the same time, interactions with the platform generated structured information about participating businesses.

This gave the JUMP team additional visibility into entrepreneurs, their businesses, their progress, and their level of engagement — providing useful information to complement the selection process.

Instead of participation generating only an application form, every interaction could generate additional insight.

Learning from Hundreds of Entrepreneurs

For Néxito, JUMP Season 2 was equally valuable.

Having entrepreneurs from multiple industries and backgrounds actively use the platform generated extensive real-world feedback.

Their behavior and comments helped us better understand what entrepreneurs value most: experiences that are simple, practical, clear, flexible, and immediately relevant to their businesses.

It also validated a fundamental idea behind Néxito:

Entrepreneurial support does not always have to happen at a specific place, at a specific time, with an expert sitting on the other side of the table.

Technology can make high-quality support available continuously, allowing institutions to reach more entrepreneurs while letting each person engage when and how it works best for them.

From a Competition to an Always-On Community

JUMP Season 2 was only the beginning.

The experience and feedback gathered during the competition are now helping shape the next version of JUMP on Néxito.

Instead of being available only during the competition, the platform will become an always-on resource for the JUMP entrepreneurial community throughout the year.

That means extending the value created during a single competition to a community of approximately 4,000 registered entrepreneurs, including around 500 active members.

For JUMP, it is the next step from running a successful competition to building an entrepreneurial community that can continue learning, connecting, and progressing between editions.

For Néxito, it reflects the reason we built the platform in the first place:

Programs end. Entrepreneurial progress shouldn’t.
